About this event
"A lack of forethought and planning means that unless we fight, unless we know people, we’re left without support. This is when trauma happens....” - Research participant
TCP we are holding a virtual roundtable in each state for organisations to come together from across sectors to discuss and co-design how we can best respond to the impacts of such disasters and how we can build more resilient and thriving communities into the future.
Event details
When - Wednesday November 25th - 10am-12pm
Where - Zoom - you will receive the link when you register
RSVP by Wednesday 18th November
What to expect
We will use the findings of the Disaster Planning and Recovery Project Research, along with the collective knowledge and experience of participants to explore how we can make a difference for humans and communities who are impacted by disasters.
You will receive a series of videos in the lead up to the event and you’ll hear from individuals and small businesses impacted by the North Queensland Monsoon of 2019. You’ll also have access to online workspaces where you can deep dive into the topic with stories, experiences and statistics.
On the day we will be collectively deepening our understanding and we will work together on finding some concrete ideas to drive change within your organisations and across the ecosystem.
Who should attend
We invite people to attend the event relevant for their state. Dates for other states are to be released shortly.
To help us manage capacity, we ask that organisations send no more than two representatives per organisation, per state event.
