Welcome to Perth2Sydney

What?: The Perth2Sydney project is a​ charity event in which Nic Bendeli, using nordic ski technique and cycling, will travel ski or bike the equivalent distance from Perth2Sydney (roughly 4,500 kilometres) in order to raise money for the Heart Foundation.

Why?: To demonstrate that a healthy active life improves quality of life whilst additionally raising money for the Heart Foundation. Exercise is a principal component of a healthy balanced quality lifestyle.

When?: The project started on June 1st and will continue throughout the winter months. Nic aims to complete 4,500 kms during 2024!

UPDATE (27th September 2023): Update on recovery and an important milestone!
  • Nick has just passed the 3000km mark - 2/3 of the distance between Perth and Sydney! A fantastic achievement!
  • He has recovered well after his surgery and is getting back into the challenge! The hip replacement has made a significant, positive impact on his ability to move and exercise!
  • Nick now hopes to finish the project around the beginning of 2024 - We wish him the best of luck!
