External non-AAF users are required to use two-factor authentication (2FA) to access REDCap:
- The nominated email address for external user must be a 'work' address - research institution, health dept, consulting company etc. Unaffiliated and/or 'personal' email addresses will not be processed (e.g. hotmail, yahoo, gmail, bigpond etc).
- Expiry date of 6 months will be set on all new external non-AAF accounts. This can be reset on request from the Chief Investigator (CI).
- Microsoft Authenticator and Google Authenticator options are available
- Unikey and AAF accounts will not be affected

Missing your new instrument? Since the last upgrade there has been a subtle change where new instruments created in "Production" projects are set to "No Access (Hidden)" in the "data viewing rights" section of the "user rights" section. If you are missing a new instrument, please check this.
If your institution (for example an Australian University, Health or research institution) is a member of the Australian Access Federation click on the AAF graphic below.

REDCap is a secure web platform for building and managing online databases and surveys. REDCap's streamlined process for rapidly creating and designing projects offers a vast array of tools that can be tailored to virtually any data collection strategy.
