if you are applying for or renewing membership, first review the Categories of MEMBERSHIP and COST. 

Membership is available to suitably qualified people working for the advancement of astronomy in Australia and internationally.  If you are uncertain of your eligibility, please contact the ASA Secretary.

TWO new 'membership' options are now available:

• International status (at reduced cost) for members working outside Australia
  
• Alumni status (at no cost) for those who have moved on from astronomy but may wish to share their career experience with our members
  

Changes in your category of membership or address information can be made by editing your My Profile page.  However, if you wish to change to International, Alumni or Retired status, please send a request to the ASA Secretary.  Changes are best done before renewing your membership.   

The ASA uses an on-line payment gateway called STRIPE and your Credit Card - currently MasterCard and Visa only.
