Academic Background and Work Experience:
Chung Mai completed her Bachelor in Banking from the Danang University of Economics in 2011 and was also awarded First Prize in the national student research competition from the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam. In 2014, she attained the New Zealand ASEAN scholarship and completed her Master’s with first class honours at the University of Waikato. In 2019, she came to UTS to start her PhD program.
Over the last 7 years, Chung Mai has taught courses in Financial Markets and Institutions and International payments as a lecturer at the Danang University of Economics. She has also supervised numerous students completing their dissertations and worked as a coordinator to support post graduate students.
As a practical researcher, she has interests in areas which can have meaningful impact on industry. Her current studies are focused on bank loan portfolios and investigating effective outcomes in diversification.
