The Morrell Family : Medical Fight Fund

With the Covid19 shockwaves rippling around the world, who could have expected a bigger shock was yet to come... Sadly through information revealed in a meeting on Friday 20/03, doctors confirmed the news to the Morrell Family in Perth, Western Australia. At age 35, husband and father of two, Gary had officially been diagnosed with a rare case of Stage 4 Lung Cancer.                                                                                                                                                                                        

Without warning an agonising chain of events unfolded rapidly over the past 2 weeks. Having booked himself in for a simple shoulder scan (sore from a presumed footballing injury), serious concerns were immediately raised. The days that followed were filled with numerous tests, scans, appointments and consultations, until the doctors confirmed the unthinkable news to Gary and wife Aisling on Friday morning.                                                                          

Those who know Gary personally know he’s definitely the wrong man to pick a fight with (even if your name is cancer) and in true Morrell form he's ready for all out war. It's amazing to see how calm, focused, confident and convinced he is about his path to victory, remission and recovery.  His determination to grow old with his wife Aisling, and to teach, advise, guide and mentor his children Sienna and Brody as they grow/ blossom into young confident adults, is definitely the fuel that keeps his fire for victory burning so strong .                                                                

With the severity of the situation, doctors are starting his treatment program straight away, which luckily sees his involvement with a new to Australia treatment process and medications that have been receiving fantastic results since its release last year in America. Gary will also work with a  highly recommended & successful Naturopathic Cronic Disease Management Coach throughout his treatment process. To ensure no stone is left unturned and that he is taking the front foot in every aspect of this fight, Gary also is already weeks into a strict plant based, raw food diet which starves the cancer of any food/fuel it needs to grow and has proven to produce some fantastic results in many cases to date.

Gary obviously can't do much more at present to ensure he beats this sickness, so this is where we as friends who want to help can stand up and be counted. He is going to need extended periods off work as the fight intensifies pushing him to his utmost limits. On top of looking after their two children the mounting costs for the Doctors, Consultants,Treatment Programs, Medication, Disease Management Coach, their mortgage, car, and various other household bills, will all need to be attended to weekly/monthly regardless.The lockdown and virus has also prevented family being able to come out to help Gary and Aisling, so here's where this fundraising campaign will make the difference and hopefully leave them to concentrate solely on their fight for Gary's life.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Without question I know every single person that this reaches, will want to help Gary and Aisling any way they can whatsoever.
