Superhero Effort for HeartKids!

What an amazing morning and effort by all in the Market Community, raising a whopping $50,000 for HeartKids!

We had 45 children come through the market to see mum or dad in action at work while enjoying one of the biggest events the market has seen since COVID.

Having AFL stars Jack Riewoldt and Mark Harvey, Logie-winning Gogglebox stars Adam Densten and Symon Lovett, and Superhero appearances ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy.

It was great to see so many within the Market Community involved with the event to help raise much-needed funds for a worthy cause, with people battling it out at the live auction for the fantastic items.
The biggest prize on offer was arguably David Whitchelo and Tony Siciliano donning the superhero suits for a combined $1,500 donation!

Thank you to all who attended and donated on the day, and to our incredible Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors! We are already looking forward to the next event!

Check out this video for some highlights of the morning!

Foodbank Drive Thru Success

The Melbourne Market was proud to support the Foodbank Drive Thru on Sunday afternoon.

With the cost of living on the rise and many people struggling to put food on the table, Foodbank packaged 1000 boxes of fresh produce and pantry items and provided them to those in need, across two sites in Victoria. The Melbourne Market was the site of one of the pick-up points with our visitor car park used for the day.

The generosity of the Market Community was on full display yet again, with the fruit and veg in the fresh produce boxes being donated or sourced directly from the market.

Want to know more about how your business can support Foodbank Victoria? Contact Fresh Produce Food Sourcing Coordinator, Declan Foott on 0468 607 070.

Coffee Voucher Reward

The MMA is pleased to reintroduce coffee vouchers for market users who display positive and safe behaviour within the market. Coffee vouchers can be received for many reasons, such as complying with market operating rules, including forklift and pedestrian safety, using positive and inclusive language, and many more.

We encourage all market users to behave in a positive and safe manner, just like our most recent recipients below, well done!
