I’m truly honoured that my article ‘(Re)making sex: A praxiography of the gender clinic’ has been awarded the 2017 Feminist Theory Essay Prize.
Judge’s comments: “I was impressed by the way that this paper wove together a range of different voices (autoethnographic notes, an activist oriented report, medical records, recollection, reflection, analysis) to create a coherent, nuanced paper. It is beautifully and creatively written, bringing together the evocative force of autoethnography with incisive scholarship.”
