Culturally and linguistically diverse children and young people
One of the key functions of the Commissioner’s work is to ensure children and young people have their views heard, particularly those who are disadvantaged or vulnerable for any reason.
With almost one in five under 18s in WA born overseas and more than one in 10 speaking a language other than English as the main language at home, it is important that the views of CALD children and young people are taken into consideration by decision makers.
