The Dick & Joan Green Family Award

The Dick & Joan Green Family Award was established in 2016 to recognise the work of the late R M (Dick) Green, and his wife Joan Green, in preserving the heritage of Tasmania.

”The Dick and Joan Green Family Award” has been set up for the establishment of a perpetual award or awards to promote and celebrate Tasmanian history and cultural heritage, and its contribution to the Australian cultural and intellectual life.

[NEW] We are deeply saddened to share the news that our dear mother Joan M Green OAM passed away peacefully on 27 March 2022 at Launceston, Tasmania.  We have been very moved by the tributes flowing in and the recognition of her contribution to history and heritage in Tasmania including the establishment of both Green Family Awards.
