Queensland farmers are encouraged to attend the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA) In Focus Australia event on 27-28 November at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Designed to support the ambition for Australian agriculture to become a $100 billion industry by 2030, the event will showcase the latest innovations and technologies for smart food production.
Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) President Stuart Armitage said the event would help drive the sector forward to capitalise on the opportunities that exist, which benefits all Queenslanders.
“GFIA in Focus is a forum to bring farmers, agribusiness executives, innovators, scientists, investors and development experts together to share innovative ways to respond to some of the big challenges in the sector to drive sustainable agriculture for increased productivity and food security,” Mr Armitage said.
“More than 2,000 visitors are expected from across Australia and the Asia Pacific for the two-day exhibition and conference.”
“The event will showcase hundreds of innovations in sustainable ag-tech and new opportunities for suppliers, investors and food producers.”
