Australia's approach to foreign investment is evolving, with the Federal Government releasing an updated foreign investment policy document. With an ongoing enhancement of its 'risk-based' strategy when reviewing foreign investment applications, the policy outlines a streamlined approach for lower-risk foreign investments, increased scrutiny for complicated and high-risk investments and an increased focus on compliance and enforcement.
