Welcome to the study of Neural dynamics of moral language development!
We are looking for young adult students to participate in this study on the language of values and its development in the brain. This project looks into the brain activities when people perform a reading and judgment task through the electroencephalogram (EEG) brain imaging technique. We are a research team from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (Education) at the University of Sydney.
The EEG study will be carried out on campus on one occasion; it will take 60-90 minutes. There will be various sessions and you can choose a time that suits your schedule. A gift voucher of 20 AUD will be provided upon your completion of the EEG experiment as a token of appreciation for your time and effort.
Important information about the EEG study will be provided to eligible respondents after completing this questionnaire. Filling in this questionnaire is an indication of interest instead of a commitment to join the EEG study.
To check your eligibility in participating in the EEG study, please complete this questionnaire, which will take less than 5 minutes. If you are eligible, you will be asked to leave your contact information and proceed to the next questionnaire about perspective-taking, which will take around 10 minutes to complete.
This study is approved by the University of Sydney Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC Approval No.: 2022/711). Your participation is voluntary. You may choose to freely withdraw from the research at any time. Your answers are confidential. The data will be used for research purposes only and will not be disclosed to unauthorised persons. You may contact Dr. Minkang Kim (minkang.kim@sydney.edu.au) if you have any inquiries about this research project.
Thank you.
