Boroondara Back on the Bike- Relearning the basics: 23rd Oct
Location: Camberwell Civic Centre, Inglesby Road, Camberwell
Cost: $21.60 adult, or $10.80 concession
Who is this session suitable for?
- Adult beginner or lapsed riders with basic skills, to improve their confidence riding a bike
- Participants MUST live, work or study within City of Boroondara
- You must be able to ride a bike already, and have a bike and helmet in roadworthy condition to use for the session.
Note: COVIDSafe requirements
During the session please observe physical distancing by maintaining 1.5m between yourself and others where possible, and observe cough etiquette, hand washing and personal hygiene measures.
How many other participants will be in the group?
- The group size is limited to 4 participants.
What should I bring?
- A bicycle of suitable size and type, in good condition with working brakes, a bell and pumped up tyres. If you are unsure, please email bikeitbettercyclecoaching@gmail.com prior to booking.
- Australian Standards Approved helmet in good condition
- Runners or similar closed-toe footwear
- Sun/weather protection
- A bottle of water
- Snacks
- Any medication
- Suitable clothing for the conditions
What is the start/finish time?
The session begins at 9:30am and concludes at 11:00am.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in and prepare your bike.
Where should I come for the training?
The session will take place at the Camberwell Civic Centre car park, Inglesby Rd Camberwell. You will be sent a reminder email with these details and a map of the meeting location before the session.
What facilities are there at the location?
If held at Camberwell Civic Centre - toilets, water and undercover areas are available in the library, which is a short walk from the session location.
What if the weather isn’t great?
The training will only be cancelled if the weather forecast predicts very wet, very windy or very hot weather, which present a health or safety risk. In this event, your instructor will contact you at least 2 hours prior to the start time. If weather conditions deteriorate after training has begun, training activities may be modified or omitted or the session terminated to minimise health and safety risks.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket?
You don't need to bring your ticket on the day. Your instructor will have your details.
