Design Audio Grant

Applications have CLOSED

Applications closed 11:59pm AEST Friday 30 August 2024

Alastair Swayn Foundation (ASF) Design Audio grants are awarded for the production of quality audio content on architecture or design for the benefit of the Australian design community.

The Design Audio grant funding amount is $8,000.00 and will be available to support the production of podcasts.

In accordance with the ASF Open Access Policy and the terms of the Foundation Grants Program, the ASF requires that you provide the Foundation with the embedded code or files of each episode supported by the funding grant so that free public access to the radio broadcast or podcast through Swayn Open Research and the Foundation’s other online platforms e.g. Spotify, is accessible.

The ASF requires your acknowledgement of ASF support and grant funding in each episode of the broadcast or podcast and any other online or hardcopy material produced or used in conjunction with the grant audio content.

Note: By submitting this form, you acknowledge that you have read and are aware of the terms and conditions of the ASF Grants Program, including that you have read documents shown in the hyperlinks above.

A general checklist before applying for a grant

Read the guidelines:
The guidelines are designed assist you through the application form and assessment criteria. Save time, read the guidelines first.

Follow instructions throughout the application form:
There are hints, tips and prompts throughout the application form to help you address the assessment criteria. Take note and respond to them accordingly.

Collaborate:
The assessors love to see projects where you have partnered with local organisations, council and businesses where appropriate.

Your contributions:
Providing a financial contribution towards a project shows assessors that the project is so important to you that you’ll put as much as you can towards it before asking us. And always include in-kind contributions e.g. use of your own equipment, volunteer time, etc.

Budgeting:
Make sure your budget adds up – assessors are not filled with confidence if you can’t add up your budget correctly.

Submit your application on time:
Plan to submit your application two weeks before the deadline to allow for any unforeseen circumstances. Have someone else review your application before submission, double check you have answered all questions and included all required attachments.

Pre read the application questions:
Read a one pager of the application questions here. Please be advised to apply online – applications will only be accepted via the online application form.
