CHAT WITH A NOBEL LAUREATE LIVE EVENT
Meet the man behind the Prize
In 1996 the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded jointly to Peter Doherty and Rolf Zinkernagal "for their discoveries concerning the specificity of the cell mediated immune defence". Fast forward to the present, Peter still loves talking science and interacting with young researchers. He is a familiar face in the Parkville Precinct, and is patron and namesake of the Doherty Institute.
Peter loves to tell a story and is the author of several books, including "The Beginners Guide to Winning the Nobel Prize" and more recently "The Incidental Tourist".
Hosted by broadcaster Shane Huntington (3RRR Einstein a Go-Go and University of Melbourne) this event, the first in our annual 'Chat with a Nobel Laureate' series, is one that should not be missed.
Who should attend?
Researchers, clinicians, students...anyone interested to learn more about the man behind the Prize.
