Personal Statement

You must supply a personal statement with your application.


You personal statement must demonstrate interest and any experience in the development of psychological knowledge from a theoretical and or empirical perspective.

You have 5000 characters to complete your response, which includes spacing and punctuation. This equates to approximately 500 words.

Supporting Documents

Travel Proposal

As part of your application, your travel proposal must include the following information and supporting documentation:

  1. the individuals and institutions you wish to visit overseas,
  2. the relevance of how such travel would contribute to your PhD project and your academic development,
  3. a statement from each individual you wish to visit indicating agreement to such a visit,
  4. a statement from your supervisor indicating their support for such a visit, and
  5. a travel program and detailed budget of your expected costs for travel, accommodation, and other relevant expenses.
