The Senate Community Affairs Reference Committee has tabled its report into the Administration of registration and notifications by Ahpra and related entities under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law.
Reviews of processes are a healthy part of regulation and we thank the Committee for its consideration.
We have actively engaged with the Committee during this inquiry including appearing before the Committee on a number of occasions and responding to multiple requests for information.
The public and a range of stakeholders also made submissions to the inquiry and appeared at public hearings.
We will consider the recommendations directed to Ahpra and National Boards and contribute as requested to the formal Australian Government response.
