The University of Pittsburgh is committed to making Oakland a safer place for pedestrians, cyclists and commuters and is working with the city and UPMC to improve safety in Oakland.

Changes to traffic are ongoing in the Terrace/DeSoto Street corridor, between the Petersen Events Center, UPMC Presbyterian, and Alan Magee Scaife Hall. 

If you are a Pitt Dental Medicine patient and park in the UPMC Presbyterian Garage, please be aware of changes in street crossing locations. Cross only at clearly marked crossing sites. The crosswalk at Terrace Street and Sutherland Drive has been removed and warning signs are in effect for mid-block street crossing.
