Music For Change is a new Eora (Sydney) based record label formed by Andrew Wowk and Jessica Tassone. The label's goal is to create meaningful change through the medium of music by donating 100% of profits from every release to a chosen charity/charities that deal with a prominent social issue.
We are proud to present our first release, a various artists compilation featuring a wide range of genres, tempos, and moods from a diverse roster of artists based in Sydney, Berlin, Detroit, Los Angeles, Portland, Iowa, London, Newcastle, Edinburgh, and Ottawa. Each artist has kindly donated an exclusive, original piece of music for the compilation.
For this release, our chosen social issue is sexual and domestic violence. Globally, an estimated 736 million women—almost one in three—have been subjected to intimate partner violence, non-partner sexual violence, or both at least once in their life (30 per cent of women aged 15 and older). Fewer than 40 per cent of the women who experience violence seek help of any sort.
1800RESPECT is an Australian-based organisation that works in partnership with numerous local NPOs to support victims of sexual, family, and domestic violence, as well as offer resources and information for professionals working with victims. To help them with their mission, we will be donating 100% of profits from the release to their partner organisations, which include DVConnect, Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, Women's Safety Services, Canberra Rape Crisis Centre, and On The Line.

Sully with an absolute instant classic. Signature machine gun resonant snares form a pulsating melody for a ridiculous percussive masterpiece underpinned by some of the wobbliest bass I've ever had the pleasure to hear.

I love all Hessle Audio releases because they're just plain fun. This sort of thing hearkens back to 1991 in a good way with classic "rave" breakbeat elements with a modern touch of course. I think people have new labels for this music but it sounds like classic rave breakbeats to me and this is far from a bad thing.
